With respect to what exactly is to be done with Capitale once it is earned, it can be used to unlock Opportunities, another type of mission featured in the Blood Money update. At the time of writing, only one Opportunity is available for Red Dead Redemption 2 Online players to complete, but there are more of them on the way. As you’d expect a big part of the online game is earning money. Having some is the key to enjoying the game, and happily there are some tricks that can help your earn some more.

The first thing you need to know is that hunting animals is the best way to earn money in the online mode. Unlike single player looting doesn’t yield much in the way of hard cash.

And that’s where this hack comes in.

It’s better to try this at night, as you’ll get less resistance from locals. In single player head to Emerald Station and then on to the Emerald Ranch.

Once there you have to kill and skin all the animals. Enter the game menu, then go online. You should find you keep all your animal skins and can then sell them for valuable cash.

You can repeat this process several times and each time you’ll get around $20. It’s not a lot, but as mentioned it’s far harder to generate money in the online game than it is in single player.

Weapons are very expensive though, so this is a real grind to get to the good stuff. The difficulty should help keep the game a bit more balanced though – as people getting high end weapons very early can be a real pain in multiplayer.

Another method revolves around grinding the multiplayer story missions. To do this you create a character as quickly as possible then complete the six missions to get to level 8.
